Community Involvement

Supporting those who support us.

As a bank, we believe our greatest asset is our community.

It’s a large part of who we are, and it’s who we’ve always been. And it’s why we spend so much of our time and energy making it stronger and better—helping businesses and organizations do more. At American National Bank, we believe it’s important to give back to the communities that give us so much. Give products and solutions to make area nonprofits more powerful. Give monetary support to help those in the most need. And give our time, allowing employees throughout our company to take paid time off to volunteer at local organizations. We give because we believe that in a strong community, everyone prospers together.

Focus Areas for Community Support

Health and Human Services

A healthy community is a strong community. That’s why each year we offer gifts directly to nonprofit organizations that focus on improving the health and well-being of residents in our communities.

Community Development

We encourage long-term growth for low-income areas. We support projects that fall under the Community Reinvestment Act and result in things such as: affordable housing, schools, economic development, community revitalization and job creation.

Education and Youth Development

Every child should receive a quality education. That’s why we support educational organizations, offer mentoring programs for at-risk youth and provide internships for students.

Featured Community Partners

OneWorld Community Health Centers

OneWorld believes that everyone deserves access to the best healthcare possible, regardless of economic or insurance status. To that end, we provide a vast range of services in healthcare, dentistry and behavioral health.

Step-Up Omaha!

The Empowerment Network and City of Omaha in collaboration with community partners are working to provide opportunities for youth and young adults to gain valuable job training and work experience during the summer.

The Hope Center for Kids

The Hope Center for Kids provides a safe after-school and summer program where children and youth can take part in academic support, youth development, faith-based learning opportunities and receive a hot meal every night.

The Salvation Army

Every winter the Salvation Army Tree of Lights is lit at the ANB headquarters on 90th and Dodge to remind the people of Omaha and Council Bluffs to give during the holiday season. Our employees also work throughout the area as bell-ringers, accepting donations in the Salvation Army’s iconic red kettles.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat Omaha supports our neighbors to achieve strength and independence through homeownership. Every day, we see how quality, affordable housing replaces people’s struggles to keep a sturdy roof over their heads with opportunities to build healthy, prosperous futures.

Women's Fund of Omaha

The Women’s Fund of Omaha works on the most critical challenges facing women and girls by identifying issues through research, funding solutions by investing grant money in local nonprofits, and leading dynamic change by advocating for effective policy solutions.

90th and Dodge Marquee

Giving is the essence of who we are and is the formula for fostering healthy communities. In support of Omaha area and Council Bluffs non-profit organizations, we are pleased to accept requests for consideration to promote fundraising and community outreach events on our exterior digital marquee screens at 90th and Dodge in Omaha.
